![]() Maybe but lines like that do make you the best character. “Does that make me a bad person that I kind of enjoyed that?” “And a random table-cloth wearing Asian” “Indian”īev wants to win a recording contract but she’s a terrible singer which Gail is quite honest about. Hey, that’s the name of the song from the 2nd movie! Cute.Īt dinner, Gail shows how much of a bitch she is by complaining about all of her “ungrateful” kids, meaning the evil step-sister isn’t getting off easy. …Nevermind, moving on, let’s move to Katie telling Victor dinner is ready. Nothing happens in that scene so let’s move onto the one where Gail is with her guru. I know these all use the same Cinderella template but come on, you don’t have steal your original concepts. She sneaks her demo CD into Luke’s Dad’s bag, even if him listening to is rather wishful thinking.Īfter that, we meet Luke’s annoying best friend who is quite a bit like the one is the previous film. At least they know what the other looks like which I’m sure won’t be something I bring up later. Gail goes to this academy where she is head mistress as the president of massive records inc (Yes, that’s their real name) wants to enroll his son Luke, who is our personality deprived love interest. That could have worked out but it’s just kind of silly as it is. We also meet her quite annoying trouble making brother, and then our evil step mother Gail, played by Missi Pyle with a bad southern accent. Anyway, she wakes up from her dream and we fully meet Katie, played by Lucy Hale. Whoa missy, language! We just started and already this is the “edgy” Cinderella Story movie. “I got high heel stilettos, and I’m kicking in doors, and kissing your ass ain’t what my lipsticks for” I will say I kind of like this one more, at least in terms of the sequence itself as it’s a bit more elaborate, even if the start reminds me of California Gurls for some reason.īut the most notable thing about this song is this line: The movie already shows it’s originality by starting with a musical fantasy sequence. This, is A Cinderella Story: Once Upon A Song ![]() Anyway, what makes this one more review-able than the others in general? So the only thing to add is that I now know that the director did that Three to Tango movie the Cinema Snob reviewed. Anyway, this was only 3 years later so they kept the same director and writers as the last one. Still pissed it’s not called Yet Another Cinderella Story by the way. It turned out to be the opposite, so that will be fun. I was worried that meant it would be the last interesting to review. This is the one I knew the least about, mostly because Disney Channel never aired it due to the star not being one of theirs. This one keeps that up and I was really excited to get to it once I finished watching it. I honestly like reviewing these movies as they are flawed enough to be review-ab but also competent enough to not be a chore to watch. It’s been well over a year but it’s finally time to return to A Cinderella Story! We’re doing with spooky stuff after last time, so I think it’s time to return to a series I’m going through.
